Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) Agri Business Incubator (ABI), in collaboration with the Palakkad Poverty Alleviation Programme, organized a training programme on value addition and agripreneurship at the College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Sajitha Rani, Vice Chancellor, KAU, and chaired by Dr. K. Surendra Gopal, Dean, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara. As part of the event, the Vice Chancellor flagged off the sixth export consignment of value-added food products from the KAU Common Incubation Facility (CIF) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking the resumption of exports after the temporary disruption in cargo movement through the Strait of Hormuz.
Dr. K. P. Sudheer, Professor and Head, KAU Agri Business Incubator, highlighted the role of the Incubator in promoting value addition, entrepreneurship, and global market access for Kerala's agricultural products. The programme was attended by beneficiaries of the Poverty Alleviation Programme, entrepreneurs, farmers, and other stakeholders.
