RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubator

Business incubators around the world are promoting path breaking ideas, budding industries, and entrepreneurs with necessary technical and financial services and support.  It is in view of this, the Government of India has introduced “Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana - Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation” (R K V Y-RAFTAAR) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare (MoA&FW). This project intends to hasten the process of agri business promotion and cater to the needs of entrepreneurs by providing incubation support and enabling hassle free modalities.  

Being the pioneer institution in agriculture and allied sectors, the Kerala Agricultural University is in the process of establishing KAU RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubation (KAU- RABI) Centre, to take forward the vision and objectives of RKVY RAFTAAR. This would be done by transforming the technical know- how in agriculture to commercially viable enterprises and facilitating entrepreneurship. KAU RABI envisages agribusiness incubation by helping creative minds to innovate and audaciously use technologies for venture creation in agriculture. In this process, incubation facilities and expertise already available with the Kerala Agricultural University ABI would be utilized. Reputed institutions in the country would be associating with this initiative to provide technical support and train the personnel and entrepreneurs.
